My sister was recently diagnosed with C-DIF. That is just one of many problems she has with her stomach and intestines. Both Tammy and my sister have been inspriations in my life. God bless you, Tammy. May you finally rest in peace.

It has been a long two years since my mother died. I miss her everyday, but I know she still loves me very much, but I still can't help it. She is the reason I want to be a teacher. So I can teach someone how wonderful life is, like she did for me. Also, because of what my family went through together, we are ten times closer than "normal" familes. I believe that she gave me a gift or a special way that I can connect with people and share the importance loving in this life is to being happy and loved in the next life. Although humans are not perfect, never under estimate their humanity, because it will suprise you. I love my mother very much and will forever. I just hope that I can make an impact on people like she did. My advice to anyone and everyone that will listen " Tell whomever you love everyday that you love them, Never under estimate yourself or others, and always that what you do affects others in many ways even if you don't relize it." Mostly love each other, the Lord, and never forget who loves you (your family).
My love to all of you even if you do not know me. And to those going through rough times, remember that you are loved, if not by someone on this earth, but God. May he bless you all and keep up close and thank you for all of your support.

~ To my mommy~
I love you very much, I miss you, and I hope to see you someday. Kisses and hugs.

WITH rue my heart is laden
For golden friends I had,
For many a rose-lipt maiden
And many a lightfoot lad.

By brooks too broad for leaping 5
The lightfoot boys are laid;
The rose-lipt girls are sleeping
In fields where roses fade.
-Housman

Thinking of you Aunt Tammy! Miss you every day.

Life is like an echo
All comes back
The Good, the false and the Truth
So, give to the world the best you can
And the best will come back to you

If Roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me
Place them in my Daughter's arms
And tell her they're from me
Tell her I love her and miss her
And when she turns to smile
Place a kiss upon her cheek
And hold her for awhile
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day
But there's an ache within my heart
Because I am missing her today...

Jeff, Thanks for sharing all the wonderful pictures. I remember that face so well.

It's hard to believe it's been a whole year. Things have been so busy for me, but she is still with me as you know.

I had a Reeses cup in her honor today, which she will understand. I miss her but know she is in a much better place now watching over all of us.

Always in my heart...I love you Tammy.

Listening Well

She had the gift
of stopping time
& listening well
so that it was easy
to hear who
we could become

& that was the future
she held safe
for each of us
in her great heart

you may ask, what now?
& I hope you understand
when we speak softly
among ourselves
& do not answer
just yet

for our future
is no longer the same
without her

If my days were Untroubled and my heart Always light,
Would I seek that fair Land where there is no Night?
If I never grew weary With the weight of my Load,
Would I search for God's Peace at the end of the road?
If I never knew sickness And never felt pain,
Would I search for a Hand to help and sustain?
If I walked without Sorrow and lived without Loss,
Would my soul seek Solace at the foot of The cross?
If all I desired was Mine in a day,
Would I kneel before God?

If God sent no winter to Freeze me with fear,
Would I yearn for the Warmth of Spring every Year?
I ask myself these and The answer is plain,
If my life were pleasure And I never knew pain,
I'd seek God less often And need Him much less,
For God is sought more Often in times of Distress.
And no one knows more or Sees Him as plain
As those who have met Him on the "Pathway of Pain".
