Its Hard to Believe  (July 20th, 2007 02:50 PM)
Its hard to believe that its been two years this week since Tammy left us. Many thanks to those who have sent emails and cards in the last few days. I really appreciate the support.
May was a busy month  (July 2nd, 2007 02:52 PM)
The month of May was a busy one for Katie. She was in the school play 'Meet me in St. Louis'. The play was presented as a diner theater, with the students preparing and serving the food, followed by the play.

Also in May Katie graduated from high school! There were a total of six students graduating in Katie's class - three boys and three girls. Congratulations Kaite!
God Bless You Mom  (August 18th, 2006 10:04 AM)
Mom's struggle with liver cancer is over. She is now at peace. She is now free of the tremendous pain. She was an excellent mother, who instilled in Mitzi and I the strong foundation of moral values and religious beliefs. She skillfully prepared us for the difficult life ahead.

Although we are devastated by the loss of our mother, we are at the same time relieved that her suffering has ended. Mom and Tammy are together again.

God bless you Mom.

Uncle Joe  (July 19th, 2006 08:01 PM)
It was a very emotional day for myself and the Cook family as we paid our final respects to Orval Joe Cook. This was Tammy's Uncle Joe, and thats what we always called him. Joe was a Baptist Pastor, and was a powerful influence in our lives. He was the Pastor that married Tammy and I back in 1981. Joe also officiated at Tammy's funeral service, just one year ago. After Tammy's death, I asked Joe if he would be the Pator for her funeral service. He explained that he didn't do funeral services any more because of his failing eyesight and memory. He loved Tammy very much and said he would pray to the Lord for guidance. By the next morning, Joe had received the answer, and told me he would be honored to be apart of Tammy's funeral service. He had already finished writing down the notes and scriptures he wanted to share at the service. Over the years, Joe has been an inspiration, and a source of wisdom to us. I think I will remember him most for his love of Jesus, his guidance to 'do the right thing, even though it might not be the easy thing', and of course his golf stories.

Wedding Pictures  (May 2nd, 2006 11:47 AM)
Here are additional pictures from Laura and Joseph's wedding.......
Laura and Joseph Tie the Knot  (May 2nd, 2006 11:36 AM)
Laura and Joseph were married on April 24 (Tammy's Birthday) in Las Vegas at the Little White Chappel. Laura wanted to get married on her mom's birthday, it just so happened that I was going to be in Las Vegas that week on business. So, the wedding was moved to LV. We had a very nice ceremony, small, but nice. There were about 15 people who attended the wedding from Terre Haute. After pictures were taken, we all rode in limosines back to the hotel. Good luck Laura and Joseph!
The TammyLynne Foundation is Discontinued  (March 24th, 2006 10:02 AM)
Lack of donations has caused me to re-think the Tammy Lynne Foundation Fund. Only three donations ($205) have been received, and it is quite evident to me that the fund will not reach the $5,000 minimum. I don't blame anyone for not donating, people are busy, and have more important things to spend money on these days. If anyone, I blame myself for not working harder to make it happen. The three donations received will be returned to their owners. Maybe sometime in the future I will try again, but for right now, I will find other ways to honor Tammy.
Wanda and Jason Adopt  (February 2nd, 2006 08:28 PM)
Wanda and Jason have adopted a little boy from Russia. His name is Irakly. They traveled home from Russia last Saturday. You can tell by the picture they are very happy, and I'm very happy for them. Wanda was Tammy's best friend her entire life. They were neighbors when they were kids, and grew up together. I'm sure Tammy is smiling right now, and wishing Wanda and Jason the best of lives with their new son.
Its Finally In Place..........  (February 2nd, 2006 08:16 PM)
There was a break in the weather a couple of weeks ago, which allowed the cemetary to install our grave marker. I was watching the weather last night, and they showed the temperature for one year ago as -17 degrees. Quite a difference between that and the 50-60 degree weather we had a few days in January.
